Please tell wife she is missing out on a great adventure...Especially since it will be via motorhome and not sitting on a motorcycle for all that time. I sincerely doubt she would regret going!
We do the Port-aux-Basques ferry since I don't really want to be on a ferry for that many hours...the 6+ is long enough. If you are pressed for time maybe it makes sense/cents?
Our explorations are planned and spaced along TCH1 so we are not driving uberlong distances each day.

We go every two years and boondocks much of the time.
PS We have considered going to "France" at a future time just need to research it more...highly recommended by one of the lighthouse keepers we talked to.
