I have noticed that there are a lot of snowbird folks that travel to Mexico and continue to have the same miss conceptions as those that do not travel to Mexico, they either do not learn about the people and culture or they want to change it to fit their concept of what it should be, according to the small world that they live in.
It is truly a shame that they do not learn and adapt to living in a different society with different customs, they want to change the culture to what they think it should be, in so doing they become very irritating and obnoxious.
Have I been in Mexico?
Yes when I was a child with my parents, later on alone and now with my wife, I was in Cancun when it was a sand bar with palm trees, the lagoon and nothing else not a soul, we arrived in a sail boat, I was in Puerto Angel when you could only get there by boat or airplane.
My dad was stationed in Mexico City when the first Carrera Panamericana took place, he took us to see the start on Reforma, a lot of Italian drivers and Fords, at that time I could tell you all the different cars by year and make, today I can hardly find my car in the parking lot!
I will ask those that do not like Mexico to please leave your opinions, miss information and biased bigotry at home, remember that trowing stones while living in a glass house is not to good.
