I'm looking for rapid info on this park. We are in Zipolite and planned to go to Oaxaca tomorrow to arrive on Sunday when the office building on the corner is closed and it's possible to make the left turn into the park. We heard today that the park is closed and we know it's a crappy park, but the location is good for our purposes. We're meeting friends who are flying in and hoteling in Centro. If anyone has up-to-the-minute info on whether it's open or not, please post it asap. Our fall-back will be to leave the rig here and just drive up and hotel it ourselves, but would rather have the rig. We know there is a park at San Felipe and another at Mitla, but these don't fit the agenda. Thanks for any assistance ! RYV

I have had several emails back and forth with Calvin & Leanne and their RV park is very small and only for small "overlander" type RVs. Leanne did say there is a place to boondock at the end of their street. They lived at the Oaxaca RV Park for years so would probably know more about it than anyone. Here is contact info......

OverlanderOasis.com is just south of Oaxaca in Santa Maria del Tule, near the "worlds largest tree". That may not help Ron if he has friends in a hotel, but you can apparently catch the bus and it's only 5-10 minutes outside of town. I'm not real sure if it is trailer friendly either, due to the alley access.

Check out this person on facebook: Calvin Mackenzie. He has a small campground in Oaxaca. I lost his website address. We met him and his wife four years ago in the Oaxcaa campground that I think you mentioned here.
