Oregon Coast

101 is not a problem except traffic. Traveled daily by trucks so go enjoy our scenery.

Doing the Oregon Coast (Hwy 101) is part of a must for any "real" RVer.
Starting about now and through the summer you will have plenty of company in every size and manner of RV under the sun.

101 is a piece of cake the entire way...and breath taking beautiful. It is not, however a 70mph Interstate. Tons of private campgrounds...but I suggest any of the first rate Oregon State Parks and there are lots of them the entire Coast.

btw...we spend 3+ months a year wandering up and down Oregon Hwy 101 along the coast.

This is the main campground page. Pick out which one(s) you are interested in and check the Reserve Online section. You can browse through all the campgrounds. Some have pictures. Some take reservations and some not. We usually pay somewhere around $26 to $30 a night, depending on what amenities are available.

Heading to OR Coast for 5th time this summer.

101 is good top to bottom except it can get a little curvy in spots and, of course, traffic. Best not be in a hurry.

Newport we stay at the Marina and Bandon we stay at Bandon By The Sea (the rv park is not by the sea; that is the name of the burg!)

Thanks! I an never seem to get a link posted properly.

If possible we normally go from north to south during the busy summer season. No need to cross oncoming traffic for the turnouts, of which there are many.
