Phoenix to New Orleans
We're going I-10 and would like to know the best ways around San Antonio and Houston. Thank you in advance.

- The best way on both is stay on I-10 and avoid the rush hours. If you go thru on the weekend it is even better.
- I would take TX 290 around the north side of both.
- can't help much with Houston. A couple of routes around San Antonio. You can either take Loop 1604 but that can have a lot of city traffic. The other is to leave I-10 early (at Boerne) and follow TX Rte 46 through New Braunfels to Seguin, It bypasses SA completely. Not a multi-lane road, but a lot less traffic.
