has anyone been this season? One of our favorites and have a LARGE extended family camping trip coming up. just curious how the park wintered. assuming there is near no beach but curious about the water level in the old ausable channel as well as dune erosion and how swampy the trails are.

well fist week of june last year there was only a few feet of beach, was at wheatley last weekend and had virtually none. safe bet this will be the case when we go in a few weeks. Shum02 when/where are you staying? we will be in riverside a few weeks from now.

Riverside Area 1 Fathers Day till the following Sunday. Seriously looking forward to it!
  • We were there for a week starting May 15 to the 22nd. Got into site 691 again. The place was hopping over the weekend. The lake looks like it is up some. Our son and his family were in the Dunes and they liked the spot they were in but they will be in riverside 4 for Labour Day weekend.

  • The water level in Lake Huron is about 9 inches higher now than at this time last year. On a sloping beach that makes a huge difference. Beaches along Kincardine On have definitely shrunk
  • Heading up in a few weeks for a week trip before the kiddies are out of school.

It is what it is. With rising water levels there probably will not be that much beach. Was at Inverhuron last year and that was the case there.
  • Water levels at the St. Clair river at Lake Huron looked to be a little higher this run off season. Have driven past it on 2 occasions since March, and saw no signage or indications of problems inside the park, but never went past the entrance gates.
