Portage Lake cruise

No mistake. Did the tour in 2011. Less than 20 people onboard for that trip but it was very early in the season that year. Like I said, the building is gone. Maybe the boat is operating from the visitors center next to the highway now.

I was on the boat 2 years ago and you can still sail right up to the face of the glacier.

Not too many years ago the glacier was right in front of the parking lot. It was something to see it retreat across the lake and then around the bend. I wonder if they moved the whole operation or just quit. One year there was a huge berg like 10 feet out in the lake. Climate change is very pronounced in Alaska, hard to find any deniers up there, they see it every day.
