We took the trailer and the furry kids down for New Years from Dec 28 to Jan 3 and had no, heard of no and saw no problems. We have been to RP many many times and never had any issues worse than too much Ceviche and Tequila. Stay in the main tourist areas, The Malecon, Sandy Beach and Cholla Bay and you will have a great time. When you get to Sonoyta there will be a liquor store named Vasquez on the left, at the big curve, about 2 miles from the border. Right next to it is a lttle broken down trailer that sells the beat tacos you will ever have. Do not be frightened by the appearance of the trailer,everything is very good and very clean. We eat there every time we go down. Have a great trip.
