Relevant changes re. Border Services

The present Government of Canada tabled some new legislation today which affects the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA)

(the legislation aims) aims to strike a better balance between strengthening security in a fast-changing threat environment, and safeguarding the charter and privacy rights of Canadians.

the new expert review body, called the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency,....
It will also have jurisdiction over every government department and agency that has a security or intelligence role, including the Canada Border Services Agency.

I've seen inconsistencies from CBSA as we cross the border and those rulings for foreign boats entering Canadian ports. Of course, I'm thinking this will be a way to sort such things out.
