Route I85
My husband and I are traveling with a 35ft fifth wheel. Planning on going down S. Of Birmingham, Al on I65 to Montgomery,Al. Our end destination is Myrtle Beach, Sc. Looks like 85 to 20. Has anyone traveled 85? Thank you from Michigan.

- I85 is at least a 4 lane divided interstate highway. From I65 in montgomery, al to I95 in virginia. Montgomery to Myrtle Beach is I85 north to 285 east, Atlanta perimeter, to I20 east to I95 at Florence Sc, then I95 north about 10 miles to Myrtle Beach exit, Then east. I85 & I20 no mountains just rolling hills. Time your 285 part, before 6am, 10-2pm, after 6pm weekdays or most times on weekends. This is the least busy part of 285, but no picnic! You will go by the worlds busiest airport.

I can't imagine what kind of limitations there would be. - I expect you have other stops you intend to make from Montgomery to Myrtle Beach ?
The trip from Montgomery to I-20 and then up to MB is a circuitous route. - Any Alabama Dept. Of Transportation TT/5er limitations for this highway?
Is it scenic? If my TT isn’t prohibited and it’s scenic, I drive it.
