Hello I was hoping for advice on route through Vt. to lake George from Central Ma. All routes come from 91 , they are 9 , 30 , and 103 / 4 . I've driven Rt. 9 many times to NY but never towing and I'm hoping someone is familiar with the 30 , or 103 / 4 routes . I traded my quad cab Ram and this will be first non-local tow with trailblazer , Those long pulls on Rt 9 concern me . Other option is go south to Ma. pike and NY 87 , That would add about 70 miles to trip . Thanks Matt

We pulled a 38'5th Wheel from Portsmouth to Whitehall a couple of Springs ago the entire length of Rte 4 without any problems. Then it's an easy pull 0n Rte 22S to 149W into Lake George.

As a former Vermonter, I would probably take the 103/4 route. No issue with hills, roads are pretty good for New England roads and even a little stretch of interstate from Rutland to the NY line. I don't like the route 30 option because it is more of a "secondary" road and runs through a number of small towns.
As a current MA resident, I always take the Pike to 87. But, remember, there is a pretty good pull on the Pike from Westfield over the mountains.
Enjoy - nice country to travel and visit.
