Back in 2008 we took a trip to the Black Hills ,SD and traveled through Minn. on Rt 90. I have to say it was one of the worst roads I have been on. It was like driving on a set of stairs. We are going back there this June and from there to Gillette, WY for the FMCA rally. Have they improved it sense then.

We came back this spring from CA.to Austin,MN. and my wife and I both said the trip from Albert Lea to east of Austin was the worst road on the trip.

If we're talking I-90 crossing southern Minnesota, no. Still bad, but I only drove on 3/4 of the route within Minnesota (Albert Lea to South Dakota border).

Only 3/4 :B There actually were some good areas, but memory says mostly rough.

I think you probably mean I-90. I-94 passes through North Dakota.
