Sedona, AZ to Prospect, OR (sw of Crater Lake)

I'm trying to map out our summer route. Leaving early July, no time constraints. Would like to spend a few days in the Lee Vining, CA area on the way to Prospect. Then will be going to Oregon Coast after Prospect. I have several questions.

1. Considering going up 95 in western NV or 395 in CA. I imagine both will be very hot. Any advantage of one over the other?

2. If I take 95....a few questions. Is there any place to pull over by Hoover Dam to check out the view now that the bypass bridge is there? Is 93/95 going through Las Vegas a freeway or should I go around the west side of LV on 215? Shall I take 95 all the way north to Hwy 6 (Tonopah) then go west, or should I cut off 95 at one of the other roads I see on the map, 266/264 or 265, which go up to 6? Once on 6, I go west to 120 west to 395/Lee Vining, right? Just wanting to make sure all these roads are RV friendly (no narrow, steep dropoffs, etc.)

3. After Lee Vining, continuing north on 395 past Susanville to Alturas. Then west on 299 to 139/39 north to Klamath Falls. Again just checking on the RV friendliness of this route.

4. From Klamath Falls, does it make most sense to take Hwy 62 across to Prospect? Is all of 62 RV friendly? Or is there any more preferred route that goes across to I-5 to come into Prospect from the south?

I sure appreciate everybody's input. It helps me feel so much more comfortable driving the RV!
