Setting a stop as an overnight on the GS Trip Planner

When we plan a trip I end up with several "stops" that are not really stops but simply a way to get the route I want. For driving directions, however, I like to set some of the stops as "overnights" ...

Drag and drop the route for the roads you want to use. Only use the "add a stop" function for real stop locations. Also there is an "Avoid Tolls" option on the trip options screen (the little gear at the top of the route box) if that is what you want to do.

It can also be used to fine a location on the current map (say the address of a restaurant) and then delete it without making it part of the trip.
