Yes - that is what we are also thinking. Camping near Niagara for a few days with a day trip to Hamburg, NY to the C.W. Will call ahead first to be sure they have what I want or will get it in for us.

We really like the Murphy bed. Ours is actually a full queen bed - the top 6 inches (under where the pillows go is solid) and the 74"queen mattress butts up to that giving you a regular queen bed. It is nice to have the extra space during the day when a bedroom isn't needed. Not for everyone - as you really need similar sleep patterns - but works great for us. Our unit has a thick residential mattress in it not a flimsy foam pad or similar - very comfortable.

Buy the standard size and have a tailor shorten it.

They have what I want but $60 to ship a $40 item is way too much. I usually don't have any luck with Amazon - this is another example.

Thanks for some ideas. I should have stated I have been using standard queen sheets and they work fine. We have a Murphy bed and I don't want the extra bulk of a too long mattress protector. Something nice and snug would be best. I hate sewing so don't want to disturb the dust on my sewing machine.

Buy a regular queen. Buy about 3 pairs of suspenders from Walmart. Cut off the metal gizmos on the back that hold the 2 elastic belts together. You now have elastic clips you can put on the bottom of the bed that hold the sheets snugly in place.

Go to any mattress retailer and buy a standard queen. There will be some extra, so what? Either tuck it in or put a few tacks on one end with a sewing machine and it will be fine.
