I found the map via a News Story about a Study of Speed Traps which found most were for generating dollars behind the front of public safety. The study found many sites where the speed dropped too quickly or was poorly marked only to rise again in a short distance. Another was on downhill legs of the roads where it is known speed slowly creeps up and the speed has been just lowered. One small town in LA was generating $800,000/yr from the slow down speed up trap. I know the speed traps on I8 westbound into San Diego are on the downhill run of the Coastal Mountain range. Nogales Police have been working I19 this last year instead of patrolling neighborhood streets. Use it or not, your choice. I will try to find the Study and post.
