Texas to Portland - Mid December - Route advise?

My hubby and I will be in Texas until mid December and then headed home for Christmas. We want to avoid LA but have a few concerns about the route to take pulling a 5th wheel via Barstow and/or the G...

If you have thoughts about storing your rig why not store the truck also and fly home.

Southwest has a non-stop leaving Phoenix at 7:00am arriving Portland at 8:55am.

Many flights to Portland out of Phoenix.
