If you know you starting point and destination and pick a CG there, RV Trip Wizard will highlight the route and along that route it will show camping spots.

+1 on Trip Wizard. You can tell it how far or how long you want a travel day to be, and it draws a circle around where you are at that radius. Go to the edge of the circle and pick a campground on the route. Click on See Details and it links to RV Park Reviews for reviews and ratings.

Looks good! Unfortunately, there is no iPhone apps.

There is one in iPhone apps RV Road Trip Bundle, cheaper at $7.99 but no review yet. Must be new.

When on the road and there is no Wifi, iPhone on your dashboard is one big invaluable tool.

RV Parky has a trip planner. I haven't used it. I use RVParky to find a campground nearby when the one I planned is full or terrible.

Edit: I just tried the trip planner in RV Parky and it does what you want.

x3 used it for 3 long trips each with about 25 stops

Both the AAA site or Furkot can do this. Neither is a simple task. Both are free and online, so are useless for us as we tend to travel on a whim a lot of the time.

Also as we can afford satellite internet, we are out of cell range a lot of the time. I don't mean 4G, I mean 1X and that is with an external high mounted antenna and a 3 watt repeater.

The old Street Atlas was really good at this if you had the right overlays loaded, but that is a time long gone. The last real up of SA was 2013 and there is a lot that has changed in 6 years.

Thanx everyone for replying. Yes, I've been to https://www.rvtripwizard.com/ and watched their video. Unfortunately, I didn't see where there is a free trial. And, they want 39 bucks for me to simply try it - if I don't like it, I'm out 39 bucks - don't like that. Well, maybe I'll simply use google maps and find RV parks, BLM and other places on my own.

Go to RV Parky, Sign Up (it's free) and start a new trip. Put in a starting location, then put in your ending location. It will then give you a map in the right pane showing its proposed route. On the left pane you will see your two stops. You will notice your last stop has a "Find a Place to Stay" button. Clicking on that will show you every place you can park an RV near that location. I normally filter that list at the top to remove all Stores, Gas Stations, and Other so that I only see campgrounds and RV Parks. You can then find your desired park by reading reviews, etc of the different parks.

So that would have the ending location set! Then you figure how far you want to drive and put in the location of your first stop by clicking the Plus symbol between your starting and ending location. And just keep doing this until until you have your trip configured. You input the city and it will list the campgrounds in that area for you to select, all the time showing your progress in the map pane. You will notice that it allows you to put in howmany days you want to stop at each location and will keep your dates current and also tell you the distance between stops.

We have used this for our last three summer trips and love its simplicity. We also have the RV Park Reviews site in another tab so we can also use their reviews for parks we are looking at.

This is exactly how I do it also. Export the trip tp GPS and off we go. Simple.

Yes, RV Parky, that looks like what I'm looking for - perfect. Thanx for the tip. I'll play around with it a bit to see how I can use it to benefit ourselves.
