US Route 2 across M.,. NH, and into Vermont

Question

We just got out of the rig after traveling across the North Country today!  The road is smooth all the way and traffic was light, with just a few brief construction delays and a short detour in Rumford, ME.  The foliage was peak or near peak all the way - very unusual for this trip. The hurricane is expected to go south of here - if you are looking for a great ride and are in the area - go for it!

That is one of my favorite drives, did it the other direction a few years ago though.

I traveled Rte. 2 yesterday from Farmington, Maine to Montpelier, VT. I noticed plenty of red in the Mt. Washington Valley, but mostly yellow at the overlook in Danville, VT at Sugar Hill. Both areas are very scenic and soothing.
