Thanks All ~ We decided to take the advice and make it a 2 day trip. We are here at the Shady Acres campground in green river UT. We'll make the trek to Denver tomorrow morning.
thanks!
Good timing, I-70 was closed at the top of Vail Pass for several hour after an accident this afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the drive! - BusskipperExplorer

Can be driven in under 5 hours!!!!!!!!
Pay attention folks - no gambling in Las Vegas NM!! The op is in Las Vegas NEVADA!! - Garry_GayleExplorerThat's crazy to drive that far in 1 day, it's over 700 mi. Green River sounds like the best option.
- TexasShadowExplorer IIGreen River has a nice campground right in town, on the river, very shady.
Rifle, CO has a city rest stop you can overnight in if you want. Just across the river from the highway, on the river, nice trail to walk, etc. - crabbin_cabinExplorer II

We are driving 35 ft mh towing a corolla..or cora as we like to call her.
Thanks
Did that route on 15 towing a 32' trailer. Great sight seeing scenic trip. You will go through many little small rural towns. If you are ok with just poking along, enjoying the sights and not making freeway speeds, you will enjoy it.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand this comment... I can't think of any small rural towns that the I-15 and I-70 freeways go through!
???
Ron
I agree with Ron - as freeways they go along side of, but miss, most towns. Also - a long day to get to Denver. Richfield or Salina UT are good stopping places for a night.
We have towed our fiver over that route several times and enjoy it all the way. - rhochnadelExplorerRun that route often and in one day, not in a motorhome. We usually overnight in Green River when towing. Enjoy your trip.

You can really make a multi-week vacation on that route if you get off the highway. Take 89 instead of the 15, or head up the back country around Beaver. Then there are many sightseeing stops along the 70 at Green River and Grand Junction. Then mountain stops at Glenwood Springs and Vail. But if you stay on the Freeway...not much except scenery. If you are trying to make in one day...just a very long drive. Be careful.
Happy Trails.
