We're camping at a nearby Provincial Campground. It will be our second trip this year. Who else is out this weekend?

We are! Can,t pass on a long weekend, we are trying anew to us place in Godrich On.Went to a Koa last weekend in the snow, heater worked great :B Enjoy

Yup - we are off to Fort St. John for a dog show. Should be 30 or 40 rigs boondocking in the parking lot of the community centre in Taylor, just south of Fort St John. Always fun and lots of social time at a show.

We plan to head out for weekend #3. First trip was to Liard Hotsprings on the AK Hwy at Easter with the fifth wheel.Second to Faro YT for the Crane & Sheep Festival first weekend in May, fifth wheel again.Third will maybe see us in Haines AK. Maybe Kluane Lake. With the truck camper.How ironic it is that we camp more in the "off-season" now that we live in Yukon than we did when we lived on Vancouver Island. Cold with sun is much better than damp overcast with rain!We have daylight to midnight now, so lotsa time to sit around the campfire in the evening!

Just back home after 5.5 months on the road, south. Hard to stomach Cdn. gas prices, and (our continuing saga) the rise in BC Ferries' price to leave our city. With every price hike, they constrict our very souls. Contemplating a trip? I then figure in $340 immediately, just for ferries out and back home. Adding campground costs for a few days doesn't seem that bad.

Besides, being back home is its own reward. We may or may not take a summer trip.

But have fun Canada as, in our own way, we celebrate Queen Victoria, our longest serving Monarch!

We are at the Kawanis Ocean Front Campground, St. Andrews NB.

Parked in an ocean front site. The sites are arranged so you drive in and have an unobstructed view of the Bay of Fundy out the front window. Fantastic!

It is a little chilly with the prevailing wind coming in off the ocean but that's a small price to pay. Down near freezing at night and only mid-fifties in the afternoon.

Great first trip of the season.

Off in the rain to a great spot called Great Woods Campground 45 minutes east of Winnipeg. Been going there for years on May long as it is close by. Always seem to forget something important first weekend out. Looking forward to doing nothing for 4 days.

Weather forecast isn't great for the island. Think I'll stay home and catch up on chores so I can go camping all summer.

Cathcart Park on the St. Clair River just north of Sombra Ontario. First weekend since our return from the south. What beautiful weather for a May 24 weekend. Happy Camping all.

off to Sandbanks for the weekend - 5 years in a row now we ahve done Victoria Day there.

Brunch of friends get together, we rent a fairgrounds, do a huge BBque (pork, beef and turkey). On Sat nite the local 4H rent one of the building for a dance. On sunday morning all the men do a big breakfast.
Life is good!!
