I'm sure most travelers will be fine in Mexico, and elsewhere, drinking the water. Although why take a chance, and with everyone you are with sharing that chance, as well? Bottled water is not expensive to most RVers. Yes, its nice to go for the finest and the best gadgets and be proud of doing it, but water and the food one eats, keeps you alive and happy. We always bought bottled purified water for drinking, and most of the time it was used for showering as well. Extravagant? Not in the least, and while in our boondocking position, it was more convenient. As Canadians, were learned what bad water can, and did, to hundreds living in the town of Walkerville, Ontario. People died, many more left suffering compromised organs, from the water, when those in charge neglected their duties. The Mexican government has gone to considerable trouble to have purified water available. It is a bargain.
