Winter Cajun Looking for a short Getaway

It is terrible snow & cold at home (SD) so we are again 'Winter Cajuns'.
But even here new New Orleans, it was freezing last night!!
I'm looking for a short, pickup the hoses and go for some warm fun place! Key west is a bit too far away - as is El Paso - and even though I would like to visit Quartsite for the fun, that too is a bit far and too long time away from our winter home.

I was thinking of Mobile to see some sights there, but they are as cold as we are!! Short of getting on a cruise ship to go South, are there any suggestions for a 10-14 day fun getaway???

    If you want warm you should head to Florida. Although Arizona is more interesting (Bisbee, Tombstone, Tucson) this time of the year. Remember, Tucson turns into a "Gem Show" for February, and there is Butterfield's RV in Benson (w/free observatory).

    You could go to Rock Crusher Canyon in Crystal River FL if they have openings. Might have some during the week. Next couple of weeks supposed to be warm during the day.

    I don't know if Mobile is any warmer than where you are at. We are on the MS gulfcoast and it's cold here - just wait a few days - it's supposed to warm up. Won't be balmy 80's though. We got down to 19 the other night.

    Just looked - it's 36 right now with low of 30 tonight. So - same weather in Mobile.
