Wondering about safety in Mexico once Trump becomes Prez

I am a white person living in Mexico and I am offended by a previous post spewing American hostility towards Mexico. My friends and neighbors here are wondering whats going on up there, there is no hate, just curiosity....

I have a hard time believing this thread was started with good intentions.
Looks instead to be trying to stir up responses that are political, which really should be off limits on this forum.

Does anyone really believe that the Mexican people would be hostile to them because of a presidential election? Do you think that they would know which candidate you voted for? As many have said, be nice and they will be nice to you. I'd be more concerned about travelling to Chicago and getting shot in crossfire.

And I expect this thread to be shut down. In fact, I would prefer it to be, as you can see that the responses are starting to get political.

Excuse me but I think the President of Mexico has shown nothing but hate, contempt and disrespect for his own people. Allowing the human trafficking of his own people, the gangs and drugs pouring over our border. We are a Nation of Laws...get in line and come here legally. We give them billions of our money and they have done nothing to stop this invasion of OUR country.

And by the way...most of the people in the USA, like everywhere, are terrific and compassionate but we are not the dumping ground or ATM machine for the World anymore. We have been extorted, used and abused for far too long by Mexico. 20 trillion in debt!

USA citizens have very little to be happy about the thousands pouring across our borders daily. All facilitated by the Mexican government.

Just make sure you know where the holes in the wall are so you can get back to the US! ;-)

One has every right to have a reasonable expectation, specially if it's based on reason.
