Yellowstone NP to Glacier NP

East Glacier or West Glacier?

I think the most direct route is the easiest. Are you looking for something special or just a route?

West Glacier - just need a good road. Want to have a short visit, do the going to the sun road.
Unfortumately, its mostly closed right now. West side OK, middle only for hikers and bikers, east side completely closed. Probably have to skip, do it another year.

We left West Yellowstone on US 191 up to 85 at 4 corners, then up to I90 at Belgrade & into Missoula, (only because we had to pick up someone at the airport) then up US 93 to Polson, and took 35 up the East side of Flathead Lake,to US2, a lot of folks stay on 93, 2 will take you right into West Glacier. NO BAD road all the way.
