We will be leaving the west entrance of yellowstone and heading to Grand Teton. Any routes to use or avoid?

Definitely go through the park. The grades are nothing to worry about.
Yellowstone will be less crowded that time of year as well, though you can expect to see plenty of newlyweds and nearly dead’s. Do be sure to keep an eye on weather conditions.
