Adirondacks route

In 3 weeks we will be going into the Adirondacks at Woodgate on highway 28 to Glens Falls, then north on interstate 87. Is highway 28 rv friendly as I will be pulling a 35 ft 5th wheel.. Is there anything you would recommend to see on the way.. any favorite campgrounds?

    Rt 28 can wind in and through the mountains and numerous small towns.... can be very scenic, but takes time for the trip. Also hilly, so you'll likely burn more fuel than you would on the longer distance interstate routes.... some great little towns along the way, though....
