Adirondack Mtns in a Class A Towing?

I don't know anything about the specific area you are considering traveling, but I have found that if traveling to an unknown area and accessibility with the truck and trailer, I rely on Google Maps.

Using Google Maps, zoom in on the roads you are considering traveling. Zoom all the way in and follow the path. Now, if you see semi-trucks on that route, you'll have no problem traveling with an RV. If you follow the entire road with Google Maps and there is not a single Semi-truck anywhere, then chances are, it's a risky road. It could also mean it's just to slow for transfer trucks, or there are no fuel stations readily available on that rout that will accommodate Semi-trucks. This is a good way to make an initial judgment on the accessibility of the road with your RV.

You won't go wrong with either route. The highways through the Adirondacks are good, but the will be ups and downs and curves and turns (they are real mountains) but nothing scary. Each is a nice ride.

You can take 90 to 81 north to Watertown. Then take route 3 to Tupper Lake, then to Saranac Lake, then Lake Placid. You can then go north to Plattsburgh, then over to Burlington, VT or south on 87 to pick up route 7 to Bennington, VT. Safe travels.

Yes. Is a KOA and CG near North Pole NY. In VT, google Vermont Country Store (mainly in southern VT) as this is quite a unique store. VT Teddy Bear just a short drive south of Burlington. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and Von Trapp Lodge (Sound of Music family) in/near Waterbury VT.

Yes. If you are looking for a very nice campground in the Lake Placid/Saranac Lake area stay at the North Pole Resort and specifically the 100 Acre side. They have large pull thru sites, full hook ups, large clean bathroom/showers and very quiet campground.

It worked great. Thank you everyone. Route 3 was a very nice drive and no troubles. The tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were unnerving but all went well. We are at the KOA.
