Anybody getting itchy

Leave Miami Monday April 7 up to Ga for couple weeks then to my Son in North Carolina for a while, by then just maybe it has warmed up in Pa. hate to leave but be glad to get home

Our Winter Texas crawl has stalled out in Longview, Tx going on three weeks now. Nice country and a nice park, but the itch is back and might leave and inch a little further north. Iowa winter will surely leave before long. If it doesn't might be a few upset farmers, it's been a long winter up there.

We got caught last late April with an 8 foot bank across our driveway. This year we made our Dr. appointments in May. Slowly learning.

We are seeing, at least here in Casa Grande, AZ., more and more every day for the last week rigs pulling out and presumably heading North.

We'll be doing the same next Wednesday taking our time getting back to our home base in Reno on the 28th.

Sure enjoyed everything about this area especially the warm weather and all the activities where we stayed....but time has flown by.

On your way to Rockport, check out Mustang Island (free ferry,short ride) and at
Rockport, Goose Island state park is nice. If you are taking your time, follow the coast up to Palacios and stay a Serendipity Bay resort (Palacios is the shrimp capitol of Texas). Then we like to go up to Surfside Beach and on to Galveston and take the free ferry, about 2 miles, to the Bolivar Peninsula. We stay as close to the coast as we can all the way to Beaumont.

Pawatt we are with you. We went north in April last year. Big mistake....ice, snow.
This year we have no plans. This is also the first year we have the freedom to stay in the RGV as long as we want to.

Better crawl real slow, got back late April last year to 8 foot snow drifts across our driveway in Brainerd MN.

Better stay south awhile longer. Snow is deep here in Iowa and temps have been very cold. It is 21 here right now and that is the warmest we have seen for quite sometime. It is supposed to get warmer the next few days but if the snow melts to fast it will be a sloppy mess. We are normally in the Rockport area by now but the wife broke her hip last month so we had to cancel our trip. Watching the temps down there I guess it was a good year to miss. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. ;-)
