Apache Gold RV Park, San Carlos AZ

Just a heads up, if you come here strictly for the gambling you will probably like it.
We just checked in and the RV Park is a blacktop parking lot with extra wide parking spaces, nothing even close to a park. The spaces all have a lot of slope and even with 8 inches of blocks under my leveling pads both of my front wheels are off of the ground.

Unlike a regular RV Park where you get greeted when you check in, handed a lot of useful area info and guides and taken to your site by a staff member, here you check in at the gas station, pay your rent, assigned a parking space and you are on your own.
There is no one here that even has a clue about RV parks so beware if you are thinking of coming here for anything other than gambling.

Forgot to mention, once you park and put your slides out you have utilized all of your space, its a parking lot only, no picnic tables, no trees, nothing.

Have a great Holiday Weekend.
  • I wouldn't define Globe (or the local casino) a destination for anything, so I can't imagine anyone going there except to gamble. That being said, the Gila County RV Park (across from the RR Station) offers an alternative, with electric, water, and sewer hook-ups for $20 (versus $25 at the casino).
  • It's called money. Charge the most, give the least. They have no competition. The State of AZ have been trying to deal fairly with these people for years with no success.. IMO..
  • Stayed awhile a number of years ago, do they still roll up the semi-load of miller and coors to back of that tiny gas station?
