Staying at fairgounds

How many of you camp or have camped at fairgrounds? I was just made aware that it is an option even when there is no fair going on. For those that have, do you usually need reservations? Any experiences? Thanks.

Florida Keys @ Christmas 2016

We have never been. Pulling 5th wheel 32ft. Not very good at backing. What campgrounds would yall recommend? Is 1 week long enough from eastern nc to the keys? Would like to travel all the way south as possible. 975 miles each way.

Tucson Mountain Park / Gilbert Ray CG

Would like to plan on a week at this CG late Jan next year. Being a first come first serve CG, can anyone tell me if it's difficult to get into? Would be leaving Catalina SP for Gilbert Ray on a Monday.

Camping on the Suwannee

We want to take our Pontoon to the Suwannee River. Where can you camp on the river and be able to leave your boat in the water during your stay. Full hookups would be great, but not nessecary.
