Best State for Camping

Question

For me, hands down, California is the best state for camping. Why?
Beautiful beaches! (San Diego, Orange County, the Central Coast, Pismo, etc...)
Beautiful Mountains! (The Sierras, Tahoe, Big Bear, etc..)
Beautiful Deserts (Death Valley, Glamis, Dumont Dunes, etc..)
Beautiful Interior parks ( Yosemite, etc..).

Its a crazy state yes, but I still love camping here.

In a few weeks, we will be camping in Mission Bay, and watching a Dodgers/ Padres game at Petco park.

I wish you luck.

We tend to shy away from the police states.
We also can't afford to buy much fuel in some states.

We are very careful going east for those same reasons.
We like to be able to count on our constitutional rights that I swore an oath to protect.

Believe it or not, many of us here in Southern California are exercising are constitutional rights.  I think I know what you are getting at, and yes, many of us have permits. OK, gas is expensive but you get used it. I have been out here since I left the military, and I still love it.
