Big Water Key Resort

I looked at the website for Blue Water Key and in looking at the pictures all I saw was big rigs, not sure when the pictures were taken. My DW and I have a 30ft travel trailer and would like to go there in the future, not during season though. Has anyone been there and seen travel trailers or is it a big rig only type of place? No substitute for experience. Thanks
  • Sorry if I confused anyone, I am speaking of Blue Water Key in the Keys. Thanks for the replies.
  • I was just on their site the other day. no tents, PuP`s, truck campers, Hybrid`s or TT`s under 24 feet!

Blue Water Key Resort Restrictions at bottom of page.

This is defintitely on my places to stay list!

I just noticed you have Big Water Key Resort in the title, and Blue Water Key Resort in the message. I assume you`re talking about Blue Water Key?
  • I seem to feel like they do have a minimum length requirement- maybe 26'?

(OR- I'm completely making that up.)
  • If you look at RVparkreviews.com you will see some reviews by those who stayed there in something other than a big rig, and hear/read what they thought. In my opinion it is one of the top 3 spots to stay in the U.S., and has been for several years!

Thee are a lot of big rigs.... we were there over the Christmas holidays and it was full of Prevost's and other high $$ rigs. But, there were also several travel trailers and 5th wheels during that week. Other times of the year when we have been there, it's been more of a mix of various size and type units. They do not allow pop-ups.
Nearby is Geiger key Marina and Campsite, if you are interested in something less toney, but not too much less in price, but in the same general area.
