The BLM Management will hold a public meeting Friday January 23, 2015 at 7pm at the Alliance Church in Quartzsite, Arizona. They are in their final stage of deciding what trails to close in the entire La Paz District. All travelers, miners, rockhounds, ohv riders are needed to attend if possible to find out what they want to do and to tell them what the public really wants.

If I were there I'd be in the meeting voicing my opinion. Is there a webpage where us that can't attend can voice our opinion?

Those of you that read this forum and are in Q need to network with as my folks as possible to attend this meeting and voice their opinions.

The BLM must be stopped from doing this. Next will be the Boondocking itself they'll close!!

It's got to stop!!

I believe Quartzsite is under the Yuma BLM office. Look them up and send your brown stamps to the overpaid/underworked bureaucrats at Yuma. Have you all noticed that it does not matter what branch of government you deal with, city, county, state, federal, school district that none of them ever, ever have enough money? Makes you wonder how long Americans are going to put up with it?

Wow, the BLM has to cut back because of money problems. The general population does not favor any new taxes or use fees but complains because cut backs are being put in place.

Maybe many in the 'general public' know the inefficiency and waste in general government and the BLM. Perhaps they should have saved some of the money expended on the excessive and abusive response to the "Bundy" cattle grazing issue. Increasing taxes has never increased public access any government lands or agency.

After the meeting they will close whatever they want.
One of my favorite trails has been closed temporarily for 7 years.
the excuse will be they do not have enough people to patrol it,therefore it must be closed to vehicles, however if u want to see the old stage station, you are free to hike the 11 miles in ankle deep sand.
