Boondocking in Gulf Shores, AL

I have a sister who lives in Orange Beach, AL. I'd like to drag my trailer down there for a week or so. Does anyone have any information on boondocking in the area?

Thanks.

Lots of RV parks in that area, Foley to Gulf Shores. Try the app... RV Parky.

RV parky shows free boondocking area's also.
  • Last time we were in Gulf Shores about 2 years ago, even Wal Mart did not allow overnight parking.
  • We have been camping in this area since....forever. To my knowledge there is no boondocking. Plenty of CG's.

Off hand I'd say "no boondocking in the Orange Beach area". It's a high tourist area.

^^^THIS^^^ its an area with lots of campgrounds and spaces, and lots of tourists. They don't want people hanging out for free.

  • “Can I park along the side of the road with my RV, fth wheel or pop-up camper to camp? No. The National Forests in Alabama do not have dispersed camping areas.” See https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5195340.pdf

That’s what I remembered regarding national forests in AL.
