Butte Lake-Lassen Natl Park

Howdy there!
We were wondering if any of the folks here on RV.NET could give a bit of insight to this area?
Found a few pics of the lake and camp on the web...looks really nice.

We have been up to Manzanita Lake inside Lassen a number of times.

If anyone knows: is it advisable to drag a 34 foot fifth wheel into the campground?

I remember years a go the road into Butte Lake from CA44 being gravel.
Is this road passable with a large rig?

If possible I'd like to try this area out.

Thanks all!

  • I doubt they will be snowed in this year, the snow fall was way below normal.
  • We camped at Manzanita last year for a week in our 34 ft fver. I don't know anything about Butte lake tho. A lot of the roads were still snowed in in late June. Manzanita was very nice.
