Usually when Cabellas list's Dump Station they allow overnighting - but call and ask the manager. If local regs change about overnighting in the area, the Cabella's website does not always show this.

Red River State Recreation Area is the campground just down the street from Cabela's...and I just copied this from the website. There are flood gates near the Cabela's parking lot...just can't remember which side of the lot they're on.

Sherlock Campground will open friday May 10th with electric service to sites. Water and sewer remains off due to current river level. For Reservations dial 1-866-857-2757 or on-line www.mndnr.gov/reservations.

You'd have to check with the store, but I can tell you that the parking lot is definitely not large. I've seen some Cabella's that had lots of room, but this is sure not one of them. If you're just looking for an overnight boondock, there's a Simonson's truck stop just west of I-29 on the north side of US-2. We usually stop at the Grand Forks AFB FAMCAMP, but you need to have a military ID to get in there. If you are looking for a pay park, there's one right on the river about 3 blocks from Cabella's, but the river needs to be down for it to be open. I expect it's under water right now.
