Looking for campground recommendations near Billing MT. Full hookups would be great.

We will be travelling from Custer SD to Billings MT in July 2015 with a stop at Devil's Tower. Then onto to Yellowstone.

thanks,

We ended up staying at "Billings Village RV Park", which was quiet and very clean, also the employees were very nice. We got some laundry done and some last minute shopping before heading into Yellowstone. I would recommend this campground to anyone passing through.

Islandman, that is Itch-Kep-Pe Park. We also have used it numerous times and it does have a web site. Great spot!

Hands down the nicest RV park for multiple nights is the Billings KOA. Do you have to stay in Billings? If your heading to Yellowstone you might look at stay a little closer to your destination. Not a lot of options in Billings.

I'll probably give the "Billings Village RV Park" a call Monday and reserve a spot.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Years ago, we stayed at a community park down by the river in Columbus; if I remember correctly, you drive thru town and it will be on the left side before the Yellowstone River crossing. Park may not be there anymore though as it was many years ago that we spent the night there.

If you change your mind about full hookups, there is a Cabela's in Billings with overnight RV sites. They have a dump station, but no electric hookup.

We stayed at Mountain Range RV Park in Columbus MT just west of Billings. Nice little park right off interstate. Reasonable rates. Town Pump Pilot station at same exit.

There are three in the area, one is owned by a forum member, but I'm forgetting which (other then it's not the KOA)

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

There is another CG in Billings. Can't remember the name offhand but been there a couple of times. Much less than KOA but pefectly doable.

So far in the Billings area, we have only stayed in the KOA (twice). Nice place - a bit overpriced (especially since it's the "flagship" KOA), but for one night, why not. Laundry & bathroom facilities are great. Some of the CG lies along the Yellowstone River, so it's a bit scenic.
