Campground near BWI

Except for breed restrictions. The KOA is your best choice. Very close to airport CG is close to highway.
Cherry Hill is a decent option as well.
Patapsco state park is very doable if you like state park camping, although they only have 30 amp sites.
Ramblin Pines is kind of far vs. the others and would be a last resort

I was at that KOA last Summer. You will drive right by the airport to get to it. Nice place and I would stay there again. I am actually in Aug.

I'd almost definitely stay at the Kapitol KOA.

Ramblin' Pines would be my second choice given your plans for the airport dropoff time.

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought international flights required you to be there 2 hours early (i.e. no later than 6pm for a 8pm flight). Is that different since she's going to a military base?

Well actually, I will be arriving on a friday after 7PM @ the campground, to deliver my daughter-in-law and grandkids for a flight the next day which requires checking in about noon @ BWI for an overseas flight to the military base in the Azores off Portugal which will not leave till 8PM on Saturday. Then returing home on Sunday, so not much time to visit the area. Her checkin time is noon till 7PM before the flight and that is to much time to sit and entertain a 3 and 1 year old in the airport. The kids can nap and play in the RV
then go the the airport about 6 for the flight. (of course this plan could and probably will change)

As for mileage from Ramblin' Pines vs. Cherry Hill - I think I'd likely opt for one over the other depending on when my flights were. In the morning rush hour, I'd choose Cherry Hill; in the afternoon rush hour, I'd choose Ramblin' Pines.

Cherry Hill Park is great stayed there Memorial Day Week. Good Location to Metro with bus service.

I checked out that KOA a few years back. didn't see any reason not to stay there.

About 5 miles from BWI is Capital KOA. I have never stayed there, just been by it dozens of times. The next closest would be Ramblin Pines about 20 miles west of BWI.
