I have sent you a PM - RangeriderExplorerYou may already know this but the Hershey RV Show is Sep 16-20. Area campgrounds will be busy then.

Didn't....ty - 1775ExplorerArea campgrounds are likely already booked for the week of the RV show - they have been in years past. 20-30 miles away and you would find campgrounds with vacancies.
- VeebyesExplorer IIBeen a few years since we have been there.
Is camping on what I think is a golfcourse still available? Worked for many & on the shuttle route. - spoon059Explorer III have been to Hershey Highmeadows (might be different name now) and it was nice. A private park, sites a little close together but good amenities and clean. They had a free shuttle from the RV park to Hershey Park.
We will be going to the RV show and staying at Gifford Pinchot State Park. Its about 30 miles from Hershey, but most of that is Rt 83, so a multilane highway. Gifford Pinchot is very nice, less expensive and bigger sites.
Two good options. - chris_in_paExplorerWe've stayed at Hershey Highmeadow several times. The best sites are the ones along Swatara Creek (124-133) but they are usually the first ones booked. Otherwise, we like to stay on "Pioneer Heights" even though it's close to the railroad tracks. Lots of folks complain about the train, but we've camped right along the tracks. It's not that bad.
