- wxtoadExplorerWhen you get to the Badlands, I'd suggest Cedar Pass CG on the east side of the park.
To find other public campgrounds I recommend The Ultimate Public Campground Project. It seems to be the most comprehensive of all public campground databases.

I agree. It is a very nice park. We often stay there on our trips west. - RoadpilotExplorerWe stayed in Yankton, SD at the Lewis & Clark Recreation area. They have 50 amp but no water or sewer. It's a really nice campground right on the lake.
We then took 81 to 18 to 281 to the Badlands.
