Campgrounds along Delaware River

Hi:
Can anyone give me guidance on a good campground that is near to the Delaware River Trail. My wife and I will be biking. Would prefer the lower trail starting around Trenton, NJ but would be willing to go to any campground along any of the trail. Hope that you can help

Bull Island is also very small. I don't think it will accommodate any decent sized RV. New Jersey state parks are mostly NOT RV friendly. You can get an RV into Worthington State Park just north of the Delaware Water Gap but I am not aware of any bike trail in that area.

That is correct - no NJ State Parks have utilities, unfortunately.
  • Colonial Woods is a few miles from the Delaware. You could easily bike, but the campground is not ON the river by any means.

  • Colonial Woods is right along the Delaware in Upper Black Eddy. We had a nice stay there a few years back.

Ringing Rocks Campground is also in that area, but I've never been there.
  • There's a CG in PA along the river which is close to the Water Gap: Driftstone on the Delaware. Huge back-in sites (with water & electric hookups) close to the office.
