- Jim_ShoeExplorerLake Potato, Missouri. Really?
- Windwalker55ExplorerYes, not very many private campgrounds in this area. It is hard to compete with some of the scenic COE and state parks in the area that are right on the lake.
We workcamped at the Pomme De Terre state park a couple of falls ago. It is really nice. A little more cost than the COE campgrounds but nice facilities. - RGar974417ExplorerNot sure why you would want a private campground when there are so many great campgrounds around the lake.We stayed at Nemo Landing.Beautiful campground under trees with a nice beach.
- BipeflierExplorerThis is a pretty basic area. Most campers are there for fishing or water sports.
The state parks and COE parks are all right on the water and all have some very nice spots. Electric only at sites most places.
We've camped there yearly since 1983 and not aware of any private campgrounds near the lake.
PS. we love the Hermitage state park as it is located on a peninsula and facing the main part of the lake. - soricobobExplorerI don't know if you looked at Lebanon, but there are some nice, private parks over there.
