- RoyBExplorer IIWe always liked to walk the beaches on the East side of the Oceans Springs bridge area. Much less crowded...
All of the areas there are great... Back in the 60's the lighthouse at Biloxi was south of the main road on the beach - Now it is more inland...
The most good times we had at the beaches was over to the Alabama Pensacola beaches. Spent alot of time in the Montgomery ALA area back in my working days and spent a many beach camping weekend trips there... These were times before the big hurricane changed the beaches somewhat... We would actually camp out on the beaches at night. All kinds of weird things happen on the beaches at night. Never know what is going to float in from the gulf. My desk top shelves here in my ops room is from a large section of Mahogany wood that washed up on one trip there. Must have been inside a large boat at one time...
