What part of the USA have you used it?
I have just switched from Solo Mobile (owned by bell) to Wind.
I had good coverage in the USA but at $1.45 a min. I did not like to use it.
I have bought an unlocked phone so if it is not satisfactory I will just get an other sim card. We have made our calls home to Canada on Skype. - Mike_BoutetExplorerUsed all the way down to Florida. No problems. Made long distance calls home and no extra charge. I even tethered my phone to iPad for wifi without extra charge.

That's great I hope mine will work as well in South Texas.
Thanks for getting back so quickly.
It looks like it may be the answer for cell in US for Canadians. - Me_AgainExplorer IIIWe could just turn 9 provinces into states and cell coverage would be universal. You pick the state to give to the tenth province to form the new two province country(West France?)!
Here is a list to work off.
State Number of speakers of Canadian French
Maine 47,066 (Also the highest percent)
New Hampshire 24,697
Vermont 9,543
Massachusetts 65,874
Connecticut 35,565
Rhode Island 11,477 - dieharderExplorer

Rogers for $5/day? That's absolutely insane.
Should look into a US Tracfone. - Mike_BoutetExplorer

I'm paying approx $1.50 per day. Unlimited everything in US and Canada. - joebedfordNomad III only need USA roaming for 4-5 months per year. Does WIND allow you to suspend or cancel for the other months? Couldn't find that in the FAQ.
- almccExplorerJust a caution about some of these smaller Canadian guys, I was shopping around to get away from the big guys and checked out one of the smaller players. I have an unlocked Galaxy Note 2 quad band phone (which I thought was good everywhere), it wouldn't work as the some of these smaller players run on different frequencies. The salesperson's recommendation was to sell my phone on E-bay and buy one of theirs (not!).
I did switch to City Phone out of BC, it turned out to be a Rogers company!!
