We will be going to Charlotte NC to visit family. The closet park is Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw NC. Not finding much information on this park, would like to find a campground site map or get a recommendation on a lake front level site w/water and sewer. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

My family has stayed here numerous times and I consider this place an unknown gem for the Charlotte area. There are a limited number of full hook up sites so book as early as possible because they are always taken during the summer weekends. Those sites are all paved and fairly level and all are nice. All the rest of the sites are gravel and range from level to a pretty steep slope. You can find a map on their website. They have a weird email reservation system that i am not a big fan of, so if you decide to book try calling first. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I didn't even realize that they had RV campsites, I thought it was all tent camping. But after lookign at their website, I would say go for it.

I was going to recommend Lake Norman Motrocoach Resort which is on Lake Norman and a resort atmospher. You don't have to be in a motorhome, they do allow TT and 5th wheels. It'sn not much further (maybe 4 mile difference - based on using center city Charlotte as a reference) than Ebenezer Park in Rock Hill. But it also depends on which side of Charlotte your family is located. If on the north side - Lake Norman Motorcoach Resort....south or west side - Cane Creek, east or southeast - Ebenezer...

I can't help you on that particular campground, although it does have a decent review on rvparkreviews. But I can tell you that Ebenezer Park in Rock Hill SC is a nice park on Lake Wylie and only 25 - 30 min. To Waxhaw.

Have a nice time,

We stayed at Crown Cove RV Park when we visited Charlotte last fall. Nothing special but nice and clean. We stayed a month. It is actually located just across the state line in SC. We thought about the campground at Carowinds and the KOA which are in the same area as Crown Cove but we were looking for a quieter location. The others are located on fairly busy roads. http://www.crowncovervpark.com/

also carowinds has a campground too.

Crosswinds campground is near Salisbury too.

these are just a few that might be closer.
PLUS the racetrack has a campground near the Tom Johnson RV store.
