Cape Disappointment SP (WA) site recommendations

I posted a query on April site availability without reservations at Cape Disappointment SP in January, and received several helpful answers.

Because the trip had to be postponed until late May/early June and friends need specific "visit" dates, reservations are now necessary. :( I checked the park's reservation site for the dates I need; space is available.

Which loop and/or specific sites are most desirable? (24' rig, prefer some seclusion, if possible, a level pad, and electricity is desirable, but not essential.)

Thank you very much for any "better site" tips or suggestions!
  • All the sites are good, only the first few loops have full utilities. We love this park and are going again in mid-June. The pizza place at the park is awesome (small restaurant/store for the park plus Coast Guard station).

Ft Columbia is very nice to visit and only about 20 min drive. I'm not sure if the lighthouse is open, but if it is, it's really neat on a clear day.
  • Thanks for the recommendation; it appears that I will be there on a weekend, so reservations would seem advisable! I will try for 53 or 54!

    Thanks again.
  • We camp there a lot...easy drive over to the coast for us.
We like sites 53 or 54. But, all sites at Cape Disappointment are good. All are large, easy to get into and all are spaced nicely away from neighbors....really can't go wrong.

I think we try for sites like 53/54 because they back off the beach a little more and somewhat less windy.

    Have a good trip.
