Cedar City, Utah KOA

I'm booking a trip for a week to Cedar City, Utah at the end of the summer for the Shakespeare festival. The KOA looks pretty nice from their website. Has anyone here stayed there? Do you recommend it? Or is there someplace else in town that would be better?
  • Have you looked at Indiian Peaks RV Park on Old US 91 about six miles south of town. We stayed there several times a few years ago when it operated under a different name. No real complaints, convenient to Cedar City. Look at it on the satellite function of google maps.

It is in town on the main street so it will not be peaceful and remote. Most sites have some grass and trees. However, it is a very dry area so it is not lush. Many sites are Buddy-type sites where you share your front yard with your neighbor. Not my cup of tea, but those sites are pretty large. Cedar City is a really neat town, and I have heard the Shakespeare Festival is excellent, so I wouldn't sweat the details of the site. All in all the park comes highly recommended if you are looking for a base of operations and not a vacation spot on it's own accord.
