cedar point versus wellesley island

We have been camping at Wellesley Island every year for the last 20+ years but thought maybe we are due a change. We now like to have an electrical site and they do not have any waterside. I was looking at Cedar Point and it looks like they have 3 electrical on the water. Has anyone camped at both parks and what is your preference?
  • wow what a great spot. Awesome view of the waterway. If you can get by with just electric then this is the best bet. Electric box not in best spot with large camper and trees. Site on either side a tick better. But all three are by far best view in campground.
Loved that they rented small fishing boats. Costs something like $35 for half day motor enough to power all four of us around.

Quiet hours are non existent since all the staff leaves at 7pm . Hopefully you get good neighbors.

Liked that you didn't have the bridge toll as you would with Wellesley. Cedar Point was a good find.
  • Very interested in this since I booked Cedar point SP site 8 for a week in August. Never been in this area so took a chance. Looks good on interenet.
  • I ended up booking site 7 at cedar point state park, ny for 4 nts in Sept. Has anyone stayed on this site?
  • Krings Park looks really nice but we need the 30amp service.
  • I forgot there was another Cedar Point. Yes, I am interested in the one in the Thousand Islands, NY
  • I believe the poster is asking about Cedar Point State Park in NY, not Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio...
  • Unless you are interested in the park find another cg along Lake Erie. Cost will be less and many are available.

Very nice state park: East Harbor State Park
