Choosing a RV park in Williams AZ

We will be going to Williams AZ this August. I am wondering how hot we can expect it to be? Also, trying to decide between Circle pines KOA and Grand Canyon Railway RV park. The Railway rv park is much less expensive, but i worry that there is not any shade. Opinions please. Thanks

We overnighted at the KOA; we liked it because of all the trees, but they did close the pool before we got there (even though it's indoors). At the time, the Grand Canyon RV Resort was more expensive.

We liked that Circle Pines had an indoor hot tub and swimming pool.

Definitely our choice as it is a nice clean park at a good price. It is located right down town and it is nice to watch the train. We got six inches of snow when staying there in May several years a go.

No shade in the Grand Canyon park BUT you can't beat the train ride to the South Rim depending on the ages of your party. With luck the train engine will be one of the old steam engines. Beware of train robbers on the ride back.

We chose Grand Canyon Railway RV park. It was in a convenient location. We thought the KOA wasn't as convenient. It was more "campground". Grand Canyon Railway was more "resort."

Well, Circle pines KOA is all gravel, some sites level some not and lots of trees. Try to stay away from the tent camping area. Grand canyon is a paved parking lot essentially. Not much for trees but pretty nice otherwise. We've also stayed at Railside RV Ranch. Close to the trains on the way to the Grand Canyon, gravel and a few trees. We've use all three parks several times.

Both parks are fine choices. We've stayed in both and have no complaints. Williams is almost 6800' elevation - nice and cool up there most of the time.
